Mayor McFarland addresses accomplishments and challenges in managing a growing city, particularly infrastructure needs and costs. Among the key highlights of the interview: 

 

The Community Investment Trust providing proceeds to the City from the sale of the MEDDowntown Redevelopment, including daylighting Town Creek for a future park and Broad Street multiuse re-development  The Notes Live Amphitheater entertainment venue with an anticipated groundbreaking in 2023  The new Municipal Airport terminal as an attractive gateway to the City Solid Waste alternatives to Middle Point Landfill including the design contract with WastAway Road Improvements and bridges to ease traffic congestion including Medical Center Parkway Phase I Richard Siegel Soccer Complex improvements, including the new Indoor Soccer Practice Facility opening in 2023.
