Time for retirement
Deputy Troy Terranova enjoys working at the Rutherford County Judicial Center.
“You meet all kinds of people, so many different people,” Terranova said “You can always find something to talk about.”
He’s retiring after 28 years of service.
“You know when it’s time,” Terranova said.
The Sheriff's Office and Circuit Court Clerk Melissa Harrell and her staff sponsored a retirement party for the veteran deputy Tuesday afternoon where judges, clerks and other Judicial Center employees honored him. The Sheriff’s Office appreciates the clerks for honoring Terranova.
Terranova joined the Sheriff’s Office as a detention deputy in 1995. He was promoted to the Patrol Division and served as a school resource officer. He spent the last years of his career at the Judicial Center.
He plans to spend more time with his wife, Denise, daughter, Galyn, 12, and son, Anthony, 8.
“I’m ready to do something different,” Terranova said.
