Deputies are responding to calls of trees blocking road and perching on power lines throughout the county.
Fallen trees are blocking Sulphur Springs Road near Leanna Road and Stewarts Creek and Rhett Drive in Smyrna. The Rutherford County Highway Department was called to Sulphur Springs Road.
A tree is balancing on the power lines on West Trimble Road in Milton and a power line is down on Patterson Road near Rockvale. Middle Tennessee Electric crews are responding.
Deputies are directing traffic on Old Nashville Highway and Florence Road while traffic signals are fixed.
Please slow down and be observant during the downed trees and lines from high winds.
