Rutherford County Sheriff's Office Thank you, Atmos Energy

Atmos Energy donated $2,000 to the Sheriff’s Senior Citizens Awareness Network, whose volunteers help senior citizens in Rutherford County.

Christina Christiansen, Atmos’ manager of public affairs, said “fueling hope and growth for our neighbors” is one of three pillars of Atmos’ “Fueling Safe and Thriving Communities.”

Atmos supports community welfare organizations like SCAN.

Rutherford County Sheriff Mike Fitzhugh and the SCAN volunteers appreciate Atmos Energy for their contribution.

SCAN volunteers ensure the senior citizens’ homes are safe. They provide medical alert buttons, deliver food, conduct home visits and phone calls and sponsor a Thanksgiving dinner for the seniors, many who live alone and do not have family members to help.

Deputy Chief Steve Spence and SCAN Coordinators E.T. and Clarence Guice accept the donation from Atmos’ Operations Assistant Cora Vincent, Senior Account Representative Kane Adams, Human Resources Coordinator Dana Adams, Operations Assistant Kendra Reason and Manager of Public Affairs Christiana Christiansen.
