Meet Deputy Michael Bennett
Michael Bennett chose his career path at age 10.
“I always dreamed of being a police officer,” Bennett remembered.
He realized his dream when he became a certified deputy Friday after graduating from the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy.
Bennett joined the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office as a detention deputy and was promoted to the patrol division. He spent three months at the academy to earn his state certification.
He grew up in Rutherford County.
“I love this community and I want to serve and protect it,” Bennett said.
