A Perfect Game Preseason All-American in 2021 and 2022, Colin Kerrigan chose to stay in Middle Tennessee to play college baseball.
Expecting to graduate in 2023 from Montgomery Bell Academy, Kerrigan is batting .319 and has an .846 OPS at the plate while striking out 44 batters in 46 innings pitched heading into his senior season.
As a member of Nashville Select, Kerrigan is a perfect 7-0 with 65 strikeouts, a 1.40 ERA and .163 opponent batting average on the mound. Offensively, Kerrigan has batted .366 with a .481 OPS and 22 RBI.
In addition to baseball, Kerrigan lettered twice in football and played basketball. Kerrigan intends to major in business administration at MTSU. He is the son of Patrick and Deanna and the brother to Megan. His dad, Patrick, played college basketball at Cumberland University from 1982-1984.
"Colin Kerrigan is a great fit for our program and MTSU," Head Coach Jerry Meyers said. "He is a very talented left-handed pitcher with tremendous upside at 6'-6", 225 lbs. He has done a great job in the classroom and has the make-up and character that we look for in the student-athletes we recruit. He has the ability to spin the breaking ball well and will continue to develop his entire repertoire as he gains experience. We're excited to have Colin in our Blue Raider Baseball family and are confident he will make a positive impact on our program in many ways in the years to come."
