Middle Tennessee State University Eisert Named Conference USA All-Academic on Friday

The conference office announced Friday afternoon that junior Taylor Eisert was named to the Conference USA All-Academic Team. This is her first All-Academic honor and the program's seventh since 2017.

The Louisville, Kentucky native has had a career year for the Blue Raiders, earning three weekly honors this season (two C-USA, one TSWA) while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. Among conference setters, Eisert ranks third in total assists (918) and fourth in assists per set (9.46).

Eisert has reached single-season career highs in kills, kills/set, aces, aces/set, total blocks, blocks/set, points, and points/set. She also also set single-match career highs in kills (7), total blocks (5), and block assists (5) while becoming just the third Blue Raider in the current scoring era to reach the 2,000-career assists mark in a win over FIU.

In the record books, Eisert's season ranks fifth in the program's 25-point era for total assists and sixth for assists per set. She has set the third highest hitting percentage for a team in conference with .252 so far this season, just behind No. 21 Rice and No. 22 WKU. In Ohio, the setter fed the program's 25-point era record for team hitting percentage at .532 and the highest single-match team hitting percentage of C-USA teams this season in a sweep over Miami.
